Proof of ownership for AC.ZA domains

The public WHOIS records should be considered definitive proof of an entity’s right to use an AC.ZA domain.

AC.ZA domains are always registered in the name of an eligible company or higher educational institution rather than an individual. The process for determining eligibility ensures the correct legal entity is named as the Registrant of a given domain at the time of registration. The onus is on Registrants to inform us of changes in their legal status.

The Registrant’s organisational/institutional name is never redacted in WHOIS.

The Registrant remains entitled to use an AC.ZA domain as long as they remain eligible and comply with the terms & conditions; registrations do not expire in the same way as commercial domains.

As there are currently no costs associated with an AC.ZA domain, invoices are never issued.
